Breakroom Breakdown

While this might not be the world's most perfect picture, it is one that always brings a smile to my face. I have created a smaller, snarkier version of life in a cubicle, in my cubicle. This one depicts the eventual breakdown that is caused by too much stress in the office... topped off by the 1 Donut per Employee rule. Poor little guy doesn't even have the company picnic to fall back on, what with the lack of funding.

All Aboard!!

Since my sister is in nursing school during the week, she is only able to work on the weekends. This typically leaves her with a childcare issue, since her fiance also works on the weekend. Usually, my mom and I take turns watching Madison on Saturday & Sunday, depending on her dad's work schedule.

Yesterday, I thought it would be fun to take her up to Hermann Park and ride the zoo train for the first time. She has been to the zoo before, but she has never ridden the train! Since Sarah works at Memorial Hermann hospital, we decided to pick her up for lunch and then go ride the train.

We had lunch a Goode Co.'s Armadillo Palace:

Madison enjoyed looking at all the fun western memoriabilla and playing on the saddle bar stools! After the Armadillo Palace, we hooked it over to Hermann Park to ride the train. When we got there, we noticed that a lot of the area was under construction, and the Houston Zoo now has new and improved trains!

After riding the train, we had to drop Sarah back off at work, and then it was time for the relaxing car ride home with a good book :)

Picture Perfect Thursday

Here is a picture of Madison at a cowgirl themed birthday party on my birthday last weekend. I had such a good time with her and I just love the little boots! She is such an amazing kid and I am thrilled to have her as my niece.

Every person who sees her says, "Wow... she is such a Blessitt!!!" hehe When we went to the birthday party, there were several people I knew from church as a child. One lady, Miss Lillian, I have known all my life, but haven't seen her in many years. I went over to say hello to her with Madison and she looked at me a little blankly until she looked at Madison and said, "Oh... she looks JUST like your sister!! I couldn't place your name until I saw her - Blessitt." Bahahaha

I had a fantastic photo shoot with Lori Brown Photography to show off my flair for footwear. Sometimes you just have to give your feet some love! I decided to play around with my digital scrapbooking program to showcase them. Thoughts?

Here is my picture for the week:

I took this picture of my brother and his new turtle friend at the New York Aquarium in Coney Island (Brooklyn, NY) in January this year. It is one of my favorite pictures and I love that you can see the reflection of Chris' face in that of the turtle. This picture reminds me just how much I miss my brother and what a great time I have visiting him in his new home.
